Swimming

We are also committed to providing children opportunity to become strong swimmers.  This is a skill for life and as our school is located right next to the River Sherbourne, we have a daily reminder of the dangers of water.  

I am delighted that the onsite swimming pool will return to All Saints Summer 2024!  Over a three week period, all children from YR-Y6 will have at least three swimming sessions.  Because this is an annual experience, we have noticed how even the most reluctant children gain in water confidence quickly.  By Year 3, children are ready to join our crash course of swimming.  In Years 3 & 4 they swim every day.

In year 6 children walk to the swimming pool in the city centre everyday for over a week to complete a crash course in swimming.  At the end of the week children are rewarded with a session in the splash pool.
