  • Electronic Consent for Yearly Flu Vaccination

    Wed 16 Nov 2022

C&W PARTNERSHIP TRUST Immunisation & Vaccination Service (Bewise) will be visiting school to deliver the yearly flu vaccine to children in Year R to Year 6 during December. Parental consent will be required, please see document attached.

Flu Immunisation sessions for YR to Y5 are booked for Thursday 8th December 2022. Year 6 is on Monday 12th December 2022.

Immunisation and Vaccination - what happens when you get your flu vaccination. - YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1arq5cIk1g .  This video will familiarise children with the vaccination process prior to receiving their vaccines. The video has greatly helped children have an understanding of the FLU vaccine and made them less anxious. (PLEASE NOTE: The film was made prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a result does not show the appropriate PPE for vaccine administration 2021-22. The immunisation team now use electronic consent. Changes due to COVID-19 mean we are no longer giving a slip/certificate after vaccination.)

Any queries, please give us a call on 02476 961 422 or email our Bewise inbox Bewise.Immunise@covwarkpt.nhs.uk
