Spring Term Parent/Teacher Consultations - Bookings Now Open
Thu 16 Jan 2025We are pleased to announce that bookings are now open for the Spring Term Parent/Teacher Consultations. This is an excellent opportunity to speak with your child's class teacher about their progress. You can choose to attend a meeting either in person at the school or online via Microsoft Teams.
Appointments are ten minutes long to ensure all parents have the chance to meet with the class teacher. Should you require more time, additional appointments can be arranged with the teacher at a later date.
Appointment Schedule:
Tuesday 21st January: Y1, Y2, 3H & 3W
12:15pm – 3:00pm (Online or in-person)
Wednesday 22nd January: YR, Y4, Y5 & Y6
12:15pm – 3:00pm (Online or in-person)
Wednesday 22nd January: YR, Y1, Y2, Y3 (3H&3W), Y4, Y5, Y6
3.30pm – 7.20pm (In-person)
You can book your appointment via the 'My Child at School' (MCAS) app. Simply open the app, select the required date/consultation from the dropdown menu at the top left of the page, and use the green or orange buttons to complete your booking. For more details on how to book, visit:

Important Information:
Online Teams meeting links will be sent to your registered email address after bookings close at 10:00am on the day of your appointment.

Book Bonanza and Reading Cafe
Fri 10 Jan 2025On Friday 17th January 2025 we are having another 'Book Bonanza' where we all get together to share books that delight us! We invite all children to bring in a treasured book from home to show and recommend to classmates.
Parents & Carers of YR to Y6 children are invited to the 'Reading Cafe' from 2pm until 2.45pm: please bring your favourite book and come into school in the afternoon, listen to some children read, have a coffee and biscuit and join the fun!

KS1 CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE OF BAARMY BETHLEHEM
Wed 11 Dec 2024We are excited to invite you to the 2024 Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) Christmas performance: ‘Baarmy Bethlehem’
There will be 2 performances for parents and carers:
Tuesday 17th December 1:45-2:30pm
Wednesday 18th December 6:00-7:00pm
This year we are not issuing tickets for the performances.
Each family will have 2 seats available for both above performances. For Health and Safety reasons we will be registering parents/carers on the door to ensure we do not exceed our capacity levels.
Children will need to be in school for the evening performance at 5.30pm. Further information will be sent home via your child’s class teacher.
We are all really looking forward to seeing the children at their performances.

CHRISTMAS DEADLINES
WHOLESALE – Monday 9th December for delivery before Friday 20th December
DIRECT TO SCHOOL – Sunday 8th December for delivery to the school by Friday 20th
PARENTS DIRECT – Sunday 8th December for dispatching by Friday 20th
All orders placed after the above deadlines until Sunday 5th January will be printed on Monday 6th January for delivery up to 14 working days after.
CHRISTMAS SHUTDOWN
Brigade will be closed from 4pm Friday 20th December until 8am Monday 6th January 2025 to allow our staff to enjoy an extended Christmas holiday break. All communication and emails received during this time will be responded to on our return in January.

Christmas Jumper and Christmas Dinner Day!
Tue 03 Dec 2024Children can wear their Christmas jumpers to school on 12th December and there is an opportunity to enjoy a freshly cooked roast Christmas dinner. Dinners to be ordered by Friday 6th December - please note that the jacket potato option will not be available on that day.

DYM 2024
Sat 23 Nov 2024Popped into DYM last night to see the children and hear all about their adventures. They were especially pleased to see Wellington! It was wonderful to hear about all the activities and everyone looked so happy and healthy. It must be the good food and fresh Welsh air. It's a bit rainy today but I am sure that will not dampen spirits. We are off to the beach to walk Wellington and hope to bump into one of the groups. They are determined to have ice-cream as previous groups have given their recommendations! I'm not sure I will be tempted!

Reception 2025 Open Morning
Fri 15 Nov 2024There will be an Open Morning for parent and carers of children starting school in September 2025 to visit the school. Presentation starts at 9.45am in the main school hall.
